Early Trauma Support Within 90 Days:
EMDR R-TEP & G-TEP for Individuals and Groups
In the first 90 days after a traumatic event, timely support can make a powerful difference. Whether you’re an individual still feeling the emotional impact of a recent incident or a group affected by a shared experience, structured trauma therapy can help. Using R-TEP (Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol) for individuals and G-TEP (Group Traumatic Episode Protocol) for families, teams, or communities, I offer early intervention approaches designed to reduce distress, restore a sense of safety, and support healthy emotional processing. These methods are evidence-based, gentle, and effective—ideal for those in the critical window following trauma.
In the wake of a recent distressing or traumatic event, it’s normal to feel overwhelmed, unsettled, or even stuck. Whether you’ve experienced something frightening, violent, or deeply unsettling—individually or as a group—there is support available. Using specialized tools like R-TEP and G-TEP, I help individuals and groups process recent trauma in a gentle, structured way that can restore calm, clarity, and a sense of safety.
Individual Support – R-TEP EMDR
Victoria came to therapy after being unexpectedly bitten by a neighbor’s dog. The physical wound healed, but she found herself startled by sudden noises, hesitant to walk outside, and flooded with anxiety whenever she passed the scene. Through R-TEP EMDR, we were able to safely process the trauma. Victoria found her footing again—regaining a sense of calm and confidence in her daily life. This brief yet impactful approach is ideal for people who have faced a recent incident that continues to linger emotionally.
Group Support – G-TEP EMDR
The Porter family experienced a traumatic crime that left them shaken and unsure how to move forward as a unit. Each family member had their own reaction—some withdrawn, others hypervigilant or emotionally reactive. Through G-TEP, I was able to guide the family in processing their individual experiences while supporting one another in a shared healing space. It allowed them to reconnect and feel safer, both individually and together.
G-TEP can also be adapted to support workplaces, community groups, and organizations following difficult events such as violence, natural disasters, or shared grief. It is a trauma-informed, accessible, and scalable option that promotes emotional resilience and recovery for groups of any size.
